Dr. Ruoli Dai, founder of Noitom Robotics and co-founder of Noitom Ltd., focuses on human motion digitization, human–machine interaction and robot learning. He earned his bachelor’s degree at USTC and Ph.D. at CUHK, with distinguished alumni honors from CUHK’s Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering and Faculty of Engineering. He holds 50+ international patents and led motion capture development spanning inertial, optical and multi-sensor fusion technologies. At GOSIM CHINA 2024, he first proposed “A Mocap-based Data Factory for Embodied AI” and began putting it into practice. He founded Noitom Robotics in 2025, applying over a decade of human digitization expertise to embodied AI data infrastructure, multimodal human behavior data, robot teleoperation and large-scale data production. In 2026, he led ModalityNet’s launch and dataset open-sourcing to make the real world learnable by capturing and compiling human interactions into training data for robot foundation models.
