OctoLoop: Making Agents Truly Loop — Inner-Loop Autonomy, Outer-Loop Correction, and Evolution-Loop Experience Accumulation

Date 2026-10-17 Time 10:50-11:25 Location 2F – HAI XIA 2

Talk overview

OctoLoop combines an autonomous inner loop with an outer correction loop so coding agents can advance long-running engineering work without constant supervision. The inner loop reads shared state, executes tasks, commits changes, and reports progress; stronger models such as Claude Code or Codex monitor, correct, and independently verify work before it is pushed. An optional evolution loop turns execution events and failure signals into better rules and contracts. The talk also demonstrates peer agents working concurrently in isolated worktrees with independent sessions, budgets, and model lanes.
