Peter Ide-Kostic is Head of EU Policy at the OpenMined Foundation, leading its European engagement on AI governance, data policy and privacy-enhancing technologies. He brings more than 15 years of EU technology-policy experience, including as a European Parliament official supporting the LIBE, IMCO and AIDA committee secretariats and the STOA Panel. An EU Fellow and former visiting scholar at UC San Diego, his work focuses on trustworthy AI, responsible data access and European technological sovereignty. He participates in a personal capacity in the European Commission’s Expert Forum on Frontier AI and represented OpenMined at the inaugural UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance in July 2026.
